his sense of discipline and emphasis on proper pronounciation and sense of language were remarkable. would remember your errors in language and address you by those errors when he would meet you. That was done with such an affection and firmness that you would immediately understand what he means and your errors were eradicated for life. whenever i see him these days a sense of correct diction and pronunciation automatically rushes to my mind. Proud to have him as my teacher.
Prof.Fotedar was also my teacher at S.P. College in general english. I also remember his house at Sathu Barbar Shah. The discussion we had in the class about the game of cricket. He was of the opinion that one player was bating and the rest elven were fools waiting to catch the ball. He spoke english in a unique way.Every now and then when I reflect on the past, I do recall Prof. Fotedar.Once we went on excursion in Kmr. I made a water colour painting on the spot. Some teachers got wind of it and they called me.I was unawere of any wrong doing.I was asked to show what I had painted, as they were preparing lunch. Prof Fotedar put a peace of rogan-josh in my mouth as a reward.
